Standard Catalytic Converter alteration????

Hi guys, got my M.O.T next month and need to swap my de-cat pipe for my catalytic converter.


Got an aftermarket (prospeed exhaust) on my 182 and was just wondering how easy it is to alter the diameter from 2 inches to 2.5inches????

I am an engineer by trade so this would be easy for me to do but was just after some advice.

Are you sure it's 2 inch? I thought most Renaultsport Clio exhaust applications are either 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch - you would gain no power going from 2.25-2.5 or vice versa,

dont want to gain any power tbh just wanna put the standard cat back on and keep it on

will have a look at what it measures tomorrow

Sorry i read it wrong mate, so you want to increase slthe size of your exhaust so the cat fits back on right? Sorry im half asleep so no idea if im reading it right lol

It depends on the exhaust tbh mate, i wouldnt want to sleeve it and increase the bore, id want it all larger

Pro-speed amended the exit of my cat to match the exhaust. Speak to Charlie and see what he can do. I didnt see it done, but it looks good.
