Star Wars - Jedi: Survivor

Anyone else playing this? I really enjoyed Fallen Order, so replayed that a week before this dropped and I’m now really enjoying working my way through this.

Feels very much like a Star Wars Lara Croft with puzzles and running / jumping etc but that’s not a bad thing.

Rating it highly at the moment.

I really enjoyed Fallen Order but never finished it. Might replay that while I wait for the new one to go one sale or get cracked 😂

Is Fallen order the first one?

I got one on offer a few months ago and sunk a few hours into it

Probably pick it up once the bugs have been ironed out, still mixed on Steam but climbing with each patch 🤞

I’ve also completed the main quest line, was great imo.

Doing bits and pieces like collecting plants for the garden and bounties 🤣

finding the machines that give you the locations helps!

The plants were killing me till I got machine on the roof to show locations

Probably not worth its own thread so I thought I'd chuck it in here.

About 15 hours into Star Wars Outlaws at the moment, has ts flaws a plenty but just the general Stare Wars theme I'm really enjoying it. I keep getting distracted from the main missions and go off doing side missions so not even unlocked all the worlds yet.

Things that annoy me
1) Access to anything other than flat ground is very rigid in how they want you to get there, like a couple of routes only.
2) The way point for a mission when inside is crap, can get it to pinpoint for a few seconds but often find myself running round in circles finding the right floor
3) If I launch through Steam using the non plus .exe it crashes often but is stable with FR etc, play it through Ubisoft I get weird frame rate drops from like 80fps to 3fps for no reason.
4) Enemies are dumb, like really dumb.

Anyone else playing?

I see these gaming threads and there's little old me, playing transport tycoon, still.
I feel like a fckin dinosaur

This is my first proper purchase of a game on release date since GTAV, I actually bought the early access apart from that everything I have played has been for free on Game Pass.

I nearly fell off my chair when I saw what games cost now lol, £62.99 on CDKeys lol.

Yeah it's mental money. But... I do remember getting a 486 with windows 95 on it and my parents spooned out £1500! So maybe it's swings and roundabouts

I watched a beta review and it praised the enemies. It said, if you attracted their attention during a sneak, they search the whole area and other things. Is that not that not the case then? I’ve not considered this mainly as I don’t like constant seek session (snakes revenge), I’d rather a shoot sesh.

Sometimes they do, I found a few missions they just run into walls when chasing you, move from one area to another they don't come into that area. Seems like they have certain boundaries they can't go past. On top of that I've found that if you are in a massive s**t storm, you can run to something like the next vent and crawl in to the next part of the mission and all the guards there don't even know there has been WW3 kicking off outside.

On a plus side, if you want to go in shooting you can, nothing stopping you on some of the missions with less guards, just make sure you sabotage the alarm and re-enforcements won't be sent so you just need to take out the guards there.

Got Fallen Order through Origin on cheap/free even? Not played it yet though - it should be one on my list to have a go at though.

Game lets unbound controls be ignored at the start.

Game then expects unbound control to be pressed, but can't because they are unbound.

Game doesn't allow Esc to be pressed and get back to the Settings to configure unbound keys.

Game has to be closed after Alt+Tab.

Game is daft.... ;)

In all seriousness though, does the character get any better with abilities, skills and reaction times? The enemies through the levels I've played get taken out quite quickly and are a lot of fun. But anything resembling a boss just seems to really outclass you.

I guess that's the definition of a boss level - to be much harder than the usual enemy fodder. But it feels really quite unbalanced - as if the main character becomes sluggish against anything and everything thrown at him. Just played one where I died five times on the trot having barely made a dent in the enemy's health. Evade was slow, saving blocks take stamina and then there's the unstoppable red attacks. Got hit twice on one attempt and died - to then rerun all the way back from the checkpoint once more.

Getting the vibes that you must do precise inputs at precise moments - otherwise you're screwed. Gets a bit tedious after a while.
