Start button??

  renault clio 172
Been looking at getting a start button installed, quite like idea, my missus has one in her civic, and my mate has one in his s2000, and I want one in my Clio anyone know if they are easy to fit??

  S4, Tamora, Conti GT
Clifford who make car alarm/immobiliser systems, have remote start, you get a little keyring for you keys, this may be an option. No idea how difficult it is to install though

Not 100% for clios, but other cars iv seen it done on is piss easy, although pretty useless. You need to splice in to the ignition wires, and wire the button u.
Pretty easy. But you still need the car in the ignition for ye immobiliser to work. And unless you have a second switch to power up the electrics (instead of second notch on the key), you will have to put the key in, turn it to second notch, then press your start button. By the time you've done that you might as well just turn the key one more click.

Although I could be wrong, just that's how it's worked on other cars

Jay_G got it in one
i had a button i installed myself on my 1st car which was a lupo. at 1st i loved it and it was like a party trick but at the end of it i hated it and to fix it back to original it consisted of rewiring the ignition and was quite a big job.

from a personal view i WOULDNT do it again as the novelty soon wears off.
