Start Problems (Exhaust Bogging)

Basically when starting my clio, it sometimes miss fires and my exhaust splutters. Second time start up is fine. But when i put in first gear and rev to 1000 revs, the exhaust is like bogging or mayb spluttering.it only happens at low revs under 2000. When engine warm it seems to go away gradually. Another thing that seems to be happening, when im driving in gears over 3 and take my foot off accelerator, the car dont seem to be slowing down like it used to.
I have got a cherry bomb back box (not everyone taste) buts its a 1.2 didnt wana spend much money. Anyone know of these problems

It will be either the coil pack/HT leads/spark plugs.

Would they just need cleaning or get new ones all together?
Would that also cause the acceleration problem when slowing down?
Also when i get in the car, if i turn the car on with my foot on the gas a little bit, the car will try to start and just cut out.

All the symptoms of a misfire mate, when were the spark plugs last changed? For what they cost it honestly is a better idea to just change them.

To change all of the parts you should manage it for under £50-60. At the very worst it could be a goosed injector.

Well theyve not been changed since i bought the car in january. And didnt ask the guy when they were changed. But after few weeks of driving it when bought the car was totally fucked, always stalling, never giving any power. So took to renault, they found 7 major problems which cost me just under £600 to fix. Cant remember everything but got reciept somewere with everything on. Think one was fuel injectors and much more.
so you reckon i shud just change everything myself?

It really honestly depends on how handy you are with a socket set buddy!

Its relativley easy to do the work (you will need an extended socket for the plugs to get them out the block) maybe speak to your local specialist whoever that might be and im pretty sure they will be happy to help?

Euro Car Parts or GSF will supply you the parts alot cheaper than Renault mate so maybe try them at first!

Ahh okay mate. You reckon this should cure the problem? As the car is running fine, its just on start up the exhaust is like spluttering and in first gear when pull off it dont seem like much power for i to go. But after a while its fine

Im gonna chane spark plugs, coil pack and htc leads. You reckon this will do the trick? Its just really happening from start up and pulling away in 1st gear

Just take the spark plugs out check if they're sparking that will let you know if the plugs and leads are alright, then check the coilpack for cracks
