Start up help

When my PC boots up there are a few programs which run which don,t need to start. How do i disable them? Thanks

In the programs setting/preferences option. Normally a tick box saying "Start when windows starts" or somerthing like that

Start, run, type:
msconfig
then click ok
In the box that appears click the startup tab and untick any programs in there you dont need.
