Started with Jerking now cuts out, Wht does this light mean? ASAP

Guys...
this lights is appearing on the bottom right on my dash what does it mean?
its a 2002 172.

When it does the car jerks then carries on as normal.
i pulled over and when i went to pul away it comes on and stalls everything,

ive drew a very technical diagram of the light lol

It means the car is over revving (change gear)

is now coming on soon as i put a few revs on to pull away.

It's over revving as said above. That light is to warn than the engine is hitting the limiter.

what would be causing it? dodgey sensor or something.

Could be so many things, difficult to know where to start.

Try disconnecting the throttle position sensor (which is on the pedal) and start it up.

i did, i showed the throttle position and 2nd lambda as i got no cat
throttle position on the tb or on pedal?

it went onto 3cylinders today.... coilpack maybe?
