Starting/Idling problem on a 182

  Clio 182
Hi, Just went out to take the other half to work. As per, i turned the key in the ignition and it kind of chugged a few times, got started and as soon as I released the key, it konked out.

I gave it a few minutes and tried again, this time it was a bit lumpy on start up but got going. For a minute it was incredibly lumpy, (probably not 'misfire lumpy' but lumpy nevertheless) but it then sorted itself out.

For about ten minutes of driving, whenever idling (i.e. at traffic lights) the rev needle was wobbling around, between 1200 and 1500 rpm.

Once it warmed up it all seemed to go away. I'm waiting for it to cool down again so i can go and have another go but in the mean time, does anyone have a clue what is going on?
