starting problem

hi guys, my car is really bugging me now!

it started fine in the morning, i drove it for a while with no probs n now it doesnt start. it turns over but doesnt fire, the crank sensor has also been changed a few months back

it done this the other day and i got it going with a push start n had no problems since, any ideas anyone?

ok got her started, put it in 3rd, cranked the engine and it jerked, then i put it in first this time with clutch down and hey presto started up!

really weird...

hehe im thinking it may be the battery too, trip to gdi should sort it tomo, at least it starts now.

n dude although its a bit funny i gota admit it may not have anything to do with the omex or the mods, thats why i was a bit hesitant asking on here as i know some people would point directly at that. but thanks for your advice mate!

very true, at least i got it going, andy@gdi is a real top guy hes sorted out loads of lil niggles i have had for nothing and has told me to that he will sort this problem out for nothing (within reason lol) but i just cant be arsed to drive up there lol

Stoddie's is terrible for starting in the morning...So slightly different. But it's kept outside. I think his sub/amp was draining the battery tho. But the OMEX seems to have a delay...Seems to turn over for about 20seconds before it fires!

mine is kept outside n i also have a sub n amp, but when she fires its just like a normal standard clio!

battery was changed 4 months ago along with all the amp etc removed and it now starts fine! think i had a bad earth on the amp which was draining the battery all the time.

I had that with my Williams, as I had the front and rears upgraded and amped as they sounded poo as standard... but then 4 batteries later I removed it lol

the earth was so bad i had a constant rumble come from the sub which also made the car seem so much louder on the inside..... lol

i though i was hearing things when i first discovered it!

never had a sub or owt as it was a Williams so it would simply fall to bits, but it was forever melting battery terminals and wires :S it started getting expensive lol
