Starting problem

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems with the car not starting first time every once in a while on a 172. Ive been told this is common but havent been given an explanation. The car runs perfectly straight after when you try it again but Im just wondering what it could be?

yerp - Its only happened once so far and Ive started the car maybe 30 times since then :/
