starting problems

Hello people,

I have a 172 cup with starting problems, first thing in the morning it will start first time, if i drive for a few miles and turn it off it will not start again, it turns over but fails to fire up, i can try it five or six times then it starts, really frustrating, any ideas how to rezolve this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks

Does the imobllzer light go off? As it sounds like that's kicking in so could be the key fob, key reader, or UCH, check the relays under the bonnet make sure there all clean or could be crank sensor might need to be taken off and cleaned

As mentioned above, could be TDC sensor. I had similar issues until I bought a new one off eBay and replaced.

Very easy to fit, and no starting problems since.
