Iv had my new 172 cup for about a month now. And sometimes when trying to start it, it wont start just turns over then if you try again straight after its fine. just wondered what this could be?
This happened with my 172. Cleaning the sensor fixed the problem only for it to come back worse couple of months later. You can get a new crank sensor from a motor factors for £25-30.
once it starts it doesnt fail again untill its been stood for a bit.runs normal too once started.
i can agree with the TDC sensor. but i'm just baffled why it starts ok when stood for like only an hour , but after 5-8 hours. it will take 3 or 4 attempts to get it started.
its only started 3 days ago after being perfect starting
if i leave it over night.it defo takes a while to start.never had problems even in the colder weather
i was also sort of thinking a fuel pump prob? like some fuel was leaking back
.as if it needed to pump it back again.. like when you run out of fuel and it takes a while to come though.
if it was the tdc sensor would it not do it more often .on short engine stops and well as long stops?
like i said it seems so much worst when trying it after overnight parking.
