Stealth Shelf or Sub+box

Hi,

Ive read the 6x9 waste of space thread.... but I wanted some sort of unbiased opinion.

Already got an amp and 6x9s... Dont know whether just stick them in a stalth shelf, or use the amp and buy a box+sub

Current Setup:

CDFX7500 HU

Infinity 13cm Coaxial Spkrs x4

Amp is the Sony XM222, dont know whether itll be good enought to power a sub.

well, if you get a sub, and you leave your 6*9s there will be some bass cancelation issues as it unlikely that both will be in perfect phase and they will probably be overlapping.



Also the force of the sub, will force the cones of the 6*9 to move move, damaging the 6*9s



also 6*9s will drag the sound stage back, unless the treble is filtered out, this will worsen the sound, as it will apear to come from behind you.
