King Arthur.. any good?

Cookster - you're familiar with the Total War series, aren't you? It's got a very similar feel to that - map based turns, paired up with real-time 3D RTS bits. I've but several hours into it and it's pretty good. Doesn't quite have the polish of the Creative Assembly games, but it's certainly not far off. Much more in depth on the character building side of things than the Total War games too, which makes for a nice change.

Keep trying m8. It bombed out on me twice, simply trying to download a game I already bought. Just got to be patient with the hammering that their servers are getting!

As for an SP story - the campaign mode on the main Company of Heroes game is one of the best I've played in an RTS game. The follow-up Opposing Fronts is more challenging and the final part of the trilogy - Tales of Valour - is pretty straight forward. Think of that last part as simply adding more unit types and maps to the core game.
