It wont really go away, it could get worse, you need to dry it out and seal it up with a rubber cover.

Sounds like the lamp seal may have perished. May need a new deadlamp?

But first try removing the headlamp and get a hair dryer on it, low heat and dry through the bulb fitting section. Leave indoors overnight and refit with all rubber/plastic covers.

No.

The simple answer is that moisture is getting inside the lamp and condensing. Headlamp off, silicone sealent on your finger and run it around any seals. Leave to dry inside overnight (take the bulbs out by the way so you allow any moisture to escape) and wipe away excess, assemble on car. If it still does it then you didnt seal it properly. Repeat. :p

Went to the stealers to get some advice aswell..

The guy sed that theres lots of water in it... so only want is to take it out, dry it, and seal it.. as you sed diesel...

But having sed that , he also sed try leaving the full beam on for a while, and see if its clears up, beginning to clear up i must say, but startting to steam up in the indicator bulb area! :(

Right, i just happened to recieve my new headlamp today, but only remembered that my lights are darkish, nto the grey one :( and the grey one turned up! DOH!!

But good news, the steam and mist has gone from the headlamp, but left some and i mean a very few some water specs.. have i gotten away with it?? it will gradually dissapear?... or will it stay there forever?...

Coz i have MOT this week, u reckon i could get away with it??? coz the specs of water are only on the sides... thx

Apologies for the post above! bloody enter button.

Anyways... I have noticed the same problem and got a new seal on the headlight by the stealers. Its still steaming up a bit. I`m wondering instead of taking the whole headlight off, would a few of those Silica bags (ones found in your show boxes) over night and then seal up again sort it out??

Attatch them to a bit of string, drop them through indicator/ bulb holder holes, and then when you're done, pull them out with the string.

Indeed - The outer cover is not a sealed unit hence you may get some moisture build up in - due to the fact it is not sealed as said it will dry out by its own accord.

Headlight idea is to generate heat and help the water evaporate, it wont work unless they moisture has somehwere to escape to so take out a sidelight bulb and wire so theres a small hole. Also try a hairdryer on the outside of the lamp too, speeds it up.
