Steat for a Mk1

how easy is it to remove seats from a mk1 and replace them??

one of my seats is f**ked so i was thinking of just buying some new altogether, and since i am new to cars i dont know much.

so can i just buy any seat and it will fit into the car with drlling of a few holes and a bit of stuff to make it go in, or will i have to do a lot of work to make some seats fit?

also what are subframes---- are they just the metal thing the seat slides back and forward in when you move it... or are they a totally different thing. Thanks

Subframes are the bits that go between the seats and the car floor, the bits that slide ackwards and forwards.

If you buy tailor made subframes to go wiht the seats they it should just be a case of undoing the four bolts that hold the seat in, takeing the old ones out and bolting the new ones in, saying that things rarley work as they should.

Cobra have a guarentee that if thier tailor made subframes do not fit without moddification then they will fit the seats in their factory for free.

Details of where the bolt holes are etc. can be found in the Haynes Clio modding guide.
