Steering angle sensor alternative

Failing SAS seems to be a common problem on the Clio 2 RS.

It seems nigh on impossible to even get second hand sensors, and then you're still buying a 17yo part at best.

But the Dacia part 479454516R shows a remarkable resemblance to the 182 part 8200058692.

Anybody have any experience with the Dacia part? I'm not beyond modifying pin outs or the steering cowl if necessary.

I’ve been wondering this myself but figured if the non sport Clio ones don’t work then the Dacia one probably won’t work either.
