Steering problem. Bump steer?

hi

i've had my 1.6 16v dynamique for a few months and have noticed that whenever i hit a bump in the road the car tends to pull strongly in any direction and the rear of the car feels like its 'sliding' as it realigns itself. My dad has driven the car and commented the same. Is this bump steer?

This makes the car feel slightly unsafe, particularly when driving at speed on the motorway and is also very noticable when driving at much lower speeds around town.

Any ideas what the problem could be or how to sort this?

What alloys and suspension setup do you have?

Its on the standard 15" dynamique wheels and as far as i know the suspension is also standard

could this be due to a problem with the suspension? ie. worn shock absorbers?
