Steering problem.

My steering on my valver is shocking. I seem to have a slighjt bit of play in it, only very slight though. When turning to the left car feels fine but going to the right the car wants to jump out the corner!! When i brought it the steering was well bad and had a repair done on the sterring but not sure wot they done. Would this be the steering rack and how much are they??Also my power steering makes horrible noises!!!!
