Local garage quoted me (wait for it) £855 to fit a pukka renault steering rack. The steering rack costs £500 on its own. I know you can get cheaper ones (euro car parts - £175+VAT) and i also know that some can be repaired/refurbed/tightened up. I have a mechanic mate whos said hell look at it, but you know what it can be like when it comes to mates and money - was just after any advice from anyone whos had problems with theirs. Best solution? Is it an easy job? Difficult? Impossible?
Just after advice at the mo, and maybe any good garages.
