Steering rack

  1.2 16valve sport
Does anyone know if i can replace my electric steering rack in my mark 2 clio with a f7r engine. To a RENAULT CLIO MK1 1998 (R'REG) 1.2L manual rack.

Are the mounts the same? as i dont want to run pas so there is no need for the heavier electric rack.

Thanks olly

the electric rack off the 1.2 weighs alot lesst than any of the other racks, you electric power steering is located on the steering column now the rack anyway, so if you want to save weight you have to get a sport steering column, very pointless tho

oh ok mate thanks for the reply.

But if i fit a rack thats designed to be manual. Surely the steering will be eaiser to turn then with my current rack? As i cannot wire in the electric rack on a f7r ecu
