Steering wheels

  Weeman sucks ****
I'm looking at changing my steering wheel for something a bit more track biased. Seen a nice 300mm sparco one but concerned it may be a bit small! Standard is 380 so maybe a 320mm.

What's your thoughts? Anyone got a 300mm wheel or would 320mm be OK?

p.s. Do you get raped on insurance?!

300mm will be too small, my mate had one in his scoob, it was like a go-cart wheel. 320mm will be perferct

mine (momo race)

That looks spot on PYE which wheel is it? I see you have the horn push too. Think I'll be needing that, lol.

Its a Sparco 383 (i think) its in the Tweeks catalogue (motorsport), comes with the horn push, and i think it was £95 + vat. And you will need the fitting kit which is about £35 i think.

Yeah checked that out and will order one up asap. I'll ask if the horn comes with it as it doesn't say, it's an extra fiver for the horn.

That just leaves a cage and I'm done...

Cheers

Oh no, it's still my daily runner ;) Just don't do many miles which is handy but it does make a difference to the performance when it's not used.

Gonna go for a 345 with a 65mm deep dish to it :D

Do the flat wheels sit nearer to you with the boss on? I need to gauge how close a 65mm deep wheel would be.

Very close, with the boss on its closer than the standard wheel thats why i went flat and if i want it nearer i will get a spacer.
