Bought a phase 1 172 last week for my girlfriend, while driving it if you flooed it the steerig would jolt to the right when you lfit of the throttle it will jolt back, this is most noticable when turning right, if your turning right the car then throws itself self more into the bend.
If anyone has ever driven a mk1 with the steering column uj gone, it feels the same as that.
The car needed an mot so i decided to leave it and let them tell me whats wrong with the car, it failed on passenger side ball joint being collapsed, this was chnged today and the car went through the mot, however the problem is still there, ive also noticed the steering feels a bit heavy.
Ideas? bearing in mind it has gone through a fully legit mot to, the only thing i can think is an inner arm on the rack having play init, when jacked up i can feel a vey small amount of play in the left hand side that i think is coming from the rack.
