Stereo fitment help please?

This is for a Passat but everyone knows CS knows all the answers...

I have a VW passat 2003 (B5?) and the standard stereo is good but I want CD/iphone/ipod etc plus maybe a small amp/sub at a later date.

I have the standard CD/radio and CD changer in the dash in a double din arrangement.

I want this stereo in my car...

What would I need to fit this into my car??

I think if you already have double din this should slide straight in.

I'm pretty sure all double din stereos are the same size.

Sun roofs and bald heads aren't a great combo.

Hi Mate,

The metal cage will come with the stereo this is used to slide into the gap from where you have removed the factory stereo, the cage will essentially hold the new stereo in place inside the hole that is now left if that makes sense?

The wiring thats on the ebay link will convert the passat wiring to standard ISO wiring

the metal cylinder shaped thing will convert the passats radio to a standard radio connector

the black plastic will go in the hole first neaten and tighten the area

I'll actually help then, if the standard stereo is double the height of a normal one then any double din will fit.
You'll get a cage with whatever head unit you buy so no need to buy that.


In short, yes the one you posted will fit.

The one u linked is right bt no need for the harness as it's ISO in a passat
