With my new install up and running at the lowest possible setting as i only have a baby earth wire it manages to make my car shake to bits. From the outside all you can here is the whole car shaking and rattling. possible the shitty bodywork made out of paper "mash-ay"

ive found my car ratles a hell of alot aswell from the out side, the worst ratle on mine is the rear right side bumpstrip thingy, also lots of ratles inside

Simple solution, don't buy renault! lol

My valver rattles a fair bit, mostly from the boot though when you're stood outside with the bass booming away. It's to be expected though really from such an old car.

Heard loads about newer clios rattling too... eek!

The Dynamt if done right will stop the rattles and keep more of the sound in the car giving it an overall better quality sound.

IIRC you can get stuff called "Brown Bread" think that does the same.
