Sticking rear view mirror back on

Hi,

This isn't a Renault related question. I have a RS 172 and my previous car was a Fiat Bravo 1.4 (bigggg step up). Anyway, before I put it through it's MOT to sell it I need to stick the rear view mirror back on. Only problem being, when it fell off it took a small chunk of the windscreen with it. So I now have a rear view mirror with a section of glass on it to fit the section missing out of the windscreen.

Does anyone know the best stuff to put this back on? Really appreciate an answer as I am looking at having the MOT done this week.

Halfords sell the pads and some adhesives to put them back on.

I've tried some of that Loctite rear view mirror glue with the netting pad. Just left the car with it stuck, i've put some tape over the mirror to secure it. Hopefully this will do the trick.
