Sticking With The 1.2

  Shed.
Gunna listen to what people have told me. Im gunna keep my little brum brum. I could scrape a clio sport but you know i just dont wanna shell out as much as its gunna cost me, and not only that, im not even sure i could afford those hidden costs, like new breakpads. Sure theyre nice cars, and they are as nice as theyre made out to be but im gunna have to wait, as tempting as it is.

Try and up the income side as opposed to just reducing the expenditure and you will save much quicker.

I've done the same as you, I've waited a few years and it's almost time to get one :D

oh god oh god oh god rub it in :rasp:

Yeah, cheaper i guess. The 1.2 is costing me sweet FA really. gunna stay with it, even if it is a slow mo fo. tbh if i had a 172, id prolly kill myself.

yer i had to wait til i was 21! get some ncb, save some £ and u might get an even better car by the time ur 21;)

i'll take u 4 another spin to remind you what to get in a couple of years!

1.2 are still fun little cars!

I had my lil dynamique for a good 3 years, went to a 172 but really wouldnt have gone the extra cost of a 172 if it was gonna break the bank mate, sounds like you thought it through, all good things come to those who wait.

aye. i just dont wanna wait f**king agers lol. but im gunna. i might save and buy a dynamique, maybe a 1.4, nothing too modded, maybe lowering springs or coilovers and thats about it.

1.2s are incredibly fun I think.

I like the fact you don't always have to be watching your speed as you know you won't go way too fast too quickly!

I can have plenty of fun in my 1.2 without (hopefully) losing my license! Handling is superb for a little car!

aye they aint bad. trouble is ive got a 5 door and its stupidly high.

Might push for a 1.4 '03/04 dynamique and then stick springs, a sports cat with a fairly quiet backbox on it and ill prolly change the filter.. But no more. Id be happy with a 1.2 though. Anyhoo, im going to save like f**k now. atleast i wont need new break pads or tyres for a while.

Getting a 172 is a bad idea, even though they are the coolest thing since sliced bread. Thanks for all the advice. I could do it, but i dont want to, because it really would f**k me.

Cheers for the advice guys. Might look at a 172 in a few years.

yeah i could easily afford to buy & insure a 172 right now but i would rather save money and have less of a mortgage once we find a nice place

have enough fun in mine as it is (although i may try and squeeze a bit more power out of it)
