Sticky accelerator pedal

hi...has anybody had a problem where they take foot off of the accelerator pedal and its stays down, then pops up after a second or so?

kind of scary at the time, so was wondering if there is anything that can be done to stop it happening again?

Yep, check your floor mat! Mine's got stuck on that in the past - lesson learnt!
