Im guessing the day its in the same price range as the megan and Focus RS and then it would be pointless buying it. :dead: Looks like a quick time if that is 100% of the lap footage.

As for bouncy i think the words you are looking for is stiff but dampend. :rasp:

Two-tenths over a decent-sized circuit isn't much though, there's hardly anything in it!

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the Fifth Gear result tbh! lol

I've driven one on-track and I'd agree, probably my next purchase. Figures mean nothing, I don't know anyone who drives to the maximum of the cars potential!

I'm tempted to have a drive of one i must admit, the R27 I had was unbelievable through the twisties but the power and gearing was poo IMO.

If the 200 has supposedly overcome these things then yeh I can see it being one of the best driving RS's.....

Now the Megane 250 is due I think a 220 Clio would fit in nicely and with a turbo i'd be on one of them like flies on sh1t.....

Smaller turbo engine i.e 1.6 or keep the 2.0 and fit direct engine injection. Porsche/ferrari/lamborghini and make great progress with direct injection on their N/A cars and of course VW have used it quite extensively.

yes that might be correct but the clio will always be a 2.0 16v n/a

they wont make it a turbo!

I've heard Renault will be dropping ALL 2.0 n/a in favour of small engined Turbos...

They might not have an option mate. Striving for lower emissions might force them to adopt forced induction. Audi are using superchargers again, might be an option.

I hope they keep it N/A...Honda have managed to stay all N/A in their performance car range which is great.

will have to take 1 for a spin see if it can live up to the hype.... it must b good if it can better the williams for sheer driving pleasure.

The lap time for the 200 was 1:34:00. As already said, slower than the 182 they had on.
As for the 200 being the best to drive i couldnt comment, although i did easy keep up with a GW 200 a few weeks back in the Trophy .

I know 5th gear is a bit lairy compaired to top gear but dont forget theres 2 fantastic drivers in the shape of plato and tiff,both way better than the stig
