stop light and hand brake light

Check brake fluid and pads, those lights came on in my car and it was because the pads were worn and so the car thought it was low on brake fluid, changed pads and haven't seen the lights again.

i get the same deal, only ever happens when i go round a long bend at reasonable speed, was told there are sensors on the rear brakes which could be loose, anyone confirm this as it could be this problem?

What car is it on? On a 172 there are no pad wear sensors, but as BurningFeetMan says on a long left hander (eg. motorway) if your fluid is a little low you can get the lights to come on.
