Stop light and Handbrake light flashing... any ideas?

Hi,

occasionally when driving along I get the handbrake and stop lights flash, anyone have ny idea what this could be? It's on a 2002 172 (18k miles).

I would imagine the handbrake switch is flickering on and off? I'm not sure if the STOP light comes on when you're driving with the handbrake partially on though...could be worth a check?

Daveclio172 - Low brake fluid, is that a guess or fact, I'd best check that one out, it's been happening for ages!!

Thats almost definately what it is. Which could be caused by worn pads.

I had this and it wasn't fluid. Dont know what it was though lol
