stop light on @ 130mph!?!?

Car  172cup
what would be the reason for this happening? the stop light and brake warning light come on at 130mph, and dissapeared as soon as I backed off the throttle.

any ideas? crankcase pressure maybe??

It was your brake fluid mate. It was thinking, f**k this I'm outta here, I aint stopping this car at that speed.lol

Usually it happens when going around a tight corner and the car is leaning to one side slightly. It's to do with the brake fluid I found.

Although I don't think you would be going around a tight corner at 130mph.

You just need to top up with brake fluid. Get yourself a funnel though as i made a right mess trying to pour the fluid in 50cms above the 3cm hole, it splattered on the furry bulkhead. its at the back left, you may need to remove engine cover.

lol... good replies.

Thanks for your help guys. much appreciated.

its in for its 48k service on wednesday anyway... will get them to do it for me.

^^ yea that's what happened on mine.

Just realised there is a warning light which says "STOP" so I dunno.

What does it say in the manual? The usual "Contact dealer" crap or does it give a specific fault?

Brake fluid. Same thing happened to me on my private test track (M56) at the same speed going round a "moderate" corner. Made a bloody loud bang as well, thought I'd killed her!!

the manual just says stop immediately, do not drive your car... and seek help from renault!

this was on perfectly flat & straig t road?

Stop light with hand brake = Pad fault.

Get them checked at the service.

I had the same warning as you coming on at corners and when over 100mph. It turned out that my inner pads had shattered.

ive got 9 points on my license for doing 3-4mph over the limit at stupidly placed camera spots around england !!

your doing 130mph and probably have a clean license - grrrrrrr

As mentioned..brake fluid level dropped.

I had this on the M56 - M53 slip road ages ago. Sort of worried me but as i backed off it went away.

Renault wont do anything as its a check, and not an ensure.

Top it up yourself.

checked my brake fluid... and it's full! where about is the sensor for this?

my discs and pads are quite low but not enough to warrant changing yet.

any other ideas...?... as deffo not fluid levels.
