Strange clicking noise

Whenever I rev my 182 and it drops back to idle, after around 3-5 seconds of idling there is a loud clicking noise, just one click. The car will then idle all day without clicking again until you go near the revs, then as soon as the revs drop wait 3-5 seconds and it clicks again, any idea's? Can be heard louder with the bonnet up and sounds like it's coming from the belt area or somewhere down there, any help greatly appreciated!

Cannot actually believe that I didn't think of this! Switched air con off, revved it and no click! Cheers mate, feel stupid now! Haha

If it's clicking each time - is it out of gas or the compressor not staying on for some reason? My A/C only clicks once when it's turned on. Never on revving.

Its a sign of borderline low gas pressure usually as I know mine has a minor leak (holds pressure but needs a regas every 8-9months.

Yeah that's what i thought - i've not regassed mine in the 2yrs i've had it. I don't know when it even was last regassed! It doesn't cool very well so i imagine it'd need it sometime soon.
