Strange Head Light Problem

the other day i turned my head lights on but they didnt come on. so turned them off and back on and they came on. i didnt think much of it really just the car trippin.

tonight i turn my head lights on and they didnt look right, got out to have a look and only one is working. banged the head light but nothing. so i turn them off and then back on and both come on.

any clues?

Check the relay first off, it's up under the glove box in the passenger footwell. They often work loose.

are they xenon? if so could be the ballast packs...

so im assuming its in some kind of socket not fixed/soldered?

There is a ballast under the headlight and also a starter behind the actual bulb. I had a similar problem, was the starter. £20 from a spares place on here and it was fixed
