Strange knocking.

Yesterday I finalised the decision to sell the Clio & yesterday was when I have encountered my first problem.
There's a knocking noise under the drivers flooring.
It knocks when I turn it on and when I turn it off. When I turn corners and when I brake.
It's more of a tapping noise I suppose but doesn't happen constantly.
Any idea's?

Could it be the exhaust vibrating against the underside? Does it also do it under hard acceleration in low gears?

I don't really think it does it when accelerating hard.
