strange noise when accelerating

Hi guys my 1*2 has developed a strange vibrating/rubbing sound when i accelerate hard in first, and then into second! If I am already in second and build the revs up then nothing its perfect!

I have changed my rear exhaust hanger due to it being dead, and thought it could have been that vibrating somewhere but that hasn't fixed it.

Im just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this because I dont want to go changing loads of things for it not to fix it would like to narrow down the list a little bit!

Dogbone mount, gearbox mount replaced at all? I would say its the exhaust manifold banging away, common fault

I know the gearbox one had I'm sure I have seen a receipt for it! Okay I will order up a new dogbone! If I get an uprated one will it matter that the other mounts are standard? Also where is the best place to get one from?

No doesn't matter, I had uprated ktec engine and gearbox mounts and the whole car shook like hell lol.

I'd stick with oem mounts and a powerflex dogbone mount, think the parts on ebay for about 30quid

Okay mine is a ph2 does that make a difference to what one I need

There are two varients one for ph1 and one for ph2

i think this is the cause for my problem too will be changing them now
