Stream DVDs from iMac to TV

How the hell do I do it? I have JB ATV2.

Just want something easy that will work without me having to jailbreak/reprogram something.

Can't be arsed to buy a DVD player if I don't need one.

Any apps??

install plex on the apple tv and on the imac.

put all media into the mac plex folder and watchback on tv via ATV

Can I just not put a DVD in the iMac and press play on DVD player and get it across to my TV?

Cant really be arsed to rip DVD and stream it, I use plea etc to watch downloaded stuff but surly I don't need to rip DVDs??

Is there something which will show the screen of my iMac on my TV then?? and app?
