Strip or no strip?

  182 S
Thinking of stripping my 182. Just wondered if some1 can tell me what difference it makes :)

Clio is standard untill christmas then I'm treating her to a charger :)

It handles better with the interior in but is quicker without it. I've always found the back end gets far too twitchy, you may find coilovers will solve this problem though.

Are you gonna track the car?

If not pointless and IMHO that goes for a charger too unless your gonna spend thousands on the brakes and suspension/diff etc.

Didn't you just buy the car?

Surely you'd be better off just getting used to it and enjoying it maybe even doing some trackdays first?

Just my opinion of course.

:)

both my williams and valver sufferd from lift of oversteer when the back seats were out, a cage sorted it in the williams but its not a nice feeling, i wouldnt bother, it dosnt change a huge amount.

will be quicker,
but hard braking will make the rear lock up easier,
and lift off oversteer may occur,

so it depends how you drive, so long as you only brake hard in straight lines,
and keep it planted through the bends, then youll enjoy it,

and if it makes you enjoy your car that little bit more,
why the hell not?? takes 5 minutes to take out and put back it.

I did it, but then I go on track with mine. If you will never go on track , don't bother.

It's quite noisy, and looks pikey :)

And it depends on your definition of 'strip'. A lot of people deem taking the rear seats out as stripping!

It is very very annoying noise wise when stripped. Even more so in the wet.

Have found it makes a difference performance wise. The back end parts save me 30kg. The front is another 20k at the least.

The coilovers helped sort it allot. Just get the back stiffened up as much as possible and helps with the oversteer but aslong as you keep some power on through the coreners it will be fine.
