stripping is pointless unless you intend to go on track regularly... otherwise whats point when your driving on normal roads

It's not Stripped until the Dash has gone ;)
Should get a pic of mine up, other than the tar, there's nothing left too remove that doesn't have a function.

as said above though, unless your stripping it for weight/track issue's i'd leave as is and keep the comfort.

I have stripped mine and I don't like it. Great for a while. Can't help but feel I am ruining the car though.

You own it it'll be dead soon enough ;) by the way wheres the gold badge on this one? :)

Its got to be done right. I like none of the above tbh, but its all down to what you want I guess.

I like the stripped out, plush look of the R26.R. Cage, Carpets and a boot net.

I don't like the ones that look like someone has just set about it with a screwdriver and some anger in his face.

to be honest the best ones are the neat looking ones that get driven every day. i think that if its seriously stripped to a bare minimum then it should not be driven as an everyday car and only used on a track because it just looks f**king ugly... and if you disagree then fair enough, but i like to look at my car and think "yep.. ive not completely ruined it".

^ thats realy nice, very well done. Thats how id have mine if it was a daily (Shadowness take note)

But thats just the rear bench out. If I take a healthy turd in the morning, it weighs more than the rear bench!!

The seats are going to save some weight as well though, looks really good! The net and coverings work. Even painting the inside helps. What someone said about the R26.R retaining some plushness is spot on.

I never understand why people remove dashboards and heaters? I can't think of a proper race car I've seen that doesn't have some sort of dash board?

Also rear suspension...removing loads of weight is going to upset the handling of the car. It might be better with a little more 'twitchyness' but I bet a few car could benefit from a change in spring/damping rate.

yes yes yes but everyone is commenting how nice they look with just the rear bench out. Yea it aint really what the topic is about but I like it like that and if i had to do proper milage in one to work etc thats what id have. but I love mine stripped out
