Struggle to starting when warm

  clio 182 black /gold
Hi i have a fuel R/C car and when it is warm it some times cuts out. Also it struggles to start when hot. Does anyone have one of these cars? I wondered if it was too rich but not sure on which way to tune the supply valve.

Your running the engine to lean its not getting enough lubrication from the fuel so it will get too hot and cut out. Running lean enough for the engine to cut out WILL damage the engine and will eventually kill it.

There should be 3-4 adjustable needles depending on the engine. One for idle speed, 1 for low speed fuel setting 1 for high speed needle setting. You should tune the engine everytime you take the car out as a tune will change with temperature and humidity.

If you need help with tuning send me a PM and I give you some quick pointers.

Ok thanks. There is no needles. It is a ball bearing engine. There is one screw type adjustment near the air filter and where the fuel line enters the engine. I will post some pictures.
