Stupid stickers!

  1.2 MTV Special Edition
I have a MTV Special Edition Clio and it's got loads of stupid little stickers on the bodywork? Anyone know of the best way to remove them without wrecking the paintwork? Cheers in advance

youo could peel them off using a hairdryer and then use autoglym intensive tar remover...HOWEVER

depending on how long theyve been on the paint (and therefore in the sun) they could have faded underneath.....

Well i've just finished peeling the stickers off my black MTV this morning. They looked awful on the car! When you peel any of them off yes they do leave the outline of the sticker on the car, but i just wiped over a bit of T-Cut and then polished over it and theres no sign that they were ever there! The logos on the boot are alot easier to remove than on the sides.

For the squares:

1. They are a complete nightmare to get off, took me a good few hours, so be patient. I used a Tesco Clubcard to scrape/chisel em off with :). If you could do it on a hot sunny day its ten times faster to get em off, as the glue is heated up underneath so they just peel right off.

2. Once you've got them off the glue will probably still be on the car and it will look messy but dont worry, i just rubbed it off with some white spirit. Came off no problem, but make sure you wash that area when you have finished with the white spirit.

For the MTV logo itself, i would advise doing these last as they can break your clubcard:

1. Pick at the top left corner with your finger nail until a tiny bit comes away, then wedge the clubcard underneath and slowly peel it away

2. Pour warm water down the back of the sticker whilst its coming off to help losen the glue

3. When you have got about a third off peel the rest off with your fingers, it all comes off in one piece.

4. Then if you have caused a few minor scratches the T-Cut will get rid of them and the marks left by where the stickers where. Once you have done the first sticker you probably will av got the hang of it and wont scratch it.

5. Finish off by washing the car and polishing it, just like new :)

Let us know how you get on!
