Sub and Amp Fault...

  1.5 Dynamique
Ok, I've found myself in a bit of a headscratcher and was hoping you guys could help me.

I've had a subwoofer and amplifier in my car for a couple of months now, never had a problem with them before. Had to use my boot earlier today, so disconnected the sub and took it out. Went to put it back in, connected all the wires up...and then the fault occured.

As soon as the headunit goes on, it sends a signal straight to amp, which in turn sends one to the sub and speakers. Even when there's no music on (and the head unit is still loading) the speakers start hissing and the sub starts constantly beating at quite a high volume, no matter what the volume setting is on the HU.

I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing this.

So if anyone can help me I would be very thankful.
