Sub or underseat bass booster fitting ?

I'm looking to improve the sound quality in my 182, and am looking at an Alpine head unit (either the 9850ri or the new iPod only HU) together with a small amp under the seat and a half decent pair of component speakers for the doors. I don't want to lose boot space with a sub, has anyone succesfully fitted a small sub unobtrusively in a Clio ? If not has anyone fitted something like this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-swd1600-p-4037.html ? Any advice ? Please remember I'm looking for sound quality, not huge bass. Cheers.

I've been looking at a Pioneer slimline sub designed to go under a seat, I'd be interested to hear anyone's opinion on them.

Like Patrick, I'm not looking for huge amounts of bass from it, just a little more bass than present
