Subtle modification help.

I'm currently driving a 1.2 Clio in blue, and I'm wondering if anyone has any images, recommendations of modifications to do to make the car look a little more appealing, at the minute its all factory and a little boring.

I have found an image of the same car as mine on Autotrader, thats the blue colour i'm talking about.

Alloys, clear side indicators, lower, colour code black bumper/side strips are all pretty standard mods.

Could change the front lights for the ph1 172 projector style lenses.

OH and get some fogs!

Can also change rear lights for the ph2 style as they are much better looking and pretty cheap to pick up.

cheers, got them from e-bay for dirt cheap but they were scuffed up real bad so i got them refurbed

ive got a blue t-reg 1.2 RN!! all ive done so far is ph1 172 wheels. (think they are anyway) in the pipe line are ph2 rear lights, have some clear side repeaters but yet to be fitted. colour coding is expensive and as i am a student can't aford that for now!! if you need any help give me a shout

my bad, my car didnt come with one so its up their on the top of my wish (need) list! wheels look lush. and about your mirror caps... was that a D.I.Y job or did you buy them and get them sprayed?

Meggy ones are different lad.

Get a standard splitter. Easiest to fit and looks the best.

Not without replacing the side wings and getting side skirts it wouldnt.

Its crazy expensive when you then add getting it all re-coloured

Not that difficult ^

You will need these from a 172:

Front Bumper
Wings
Side Skirts

But is a giant pain in the arse and can be costly depending on how you go about it.

Ah, If it's too expensive I won't bother with it, I'll be looking at buying a 172 in just over a year or so; i'll wait until then.

Yeah, maybe leave it & put the money towards getting a better 172, when you come to buy ?

If you did do a replica, you'd have to tell oyur insurance company too.

Well micp im in the same situation as you.

I bought a standard 1.2 Mk2 Ph1 "Grande" and so far ive done the following:
- Full service and Cambelt change, £330
- Fixed leaking break cylinder and cracked suspension spring £140
- Fitted "Sport" dual optic headlights £75 (ebay)
- Fitted Renault Foglight kit. £70 (ebay)
- Fixed midsection of exhaust £80
- www.cliosport.net rear sticker £2.50

As you can see the majority of my expenses have gone on fixing what the service has told me was wrong so i dont regret having it done just to know where i stand with the motor.

Next on my list are:
- Complete set of mats (JustMatz forum group buy)
- Rear Ph2 clusters £50 (ebay)
- Alloys!! (just so f**king expensive :/ )

lol, i know... but gettin turinis next week, so need the money tbh... they will need a bit of a restore, but there not in bad condition really, 2 decent tyres on the back... fronts will need changing sometime in the future... Looking for £150-200

According to the seller i bought the kit from he included in the listing that this kit retails from renault at around the £190 mark. I picked it up for £70 buy it now.

Just keep your eye on ebay, it took me about a week of daily checking before i saw one pop up but they seem kinda common
