Did you buy that from someone who lived at the bottom of a river? State of it!

They're good boxes though, give a real good thump.

cant stand vibe subwoofers.... but other people seem to like them lol don't expect to get the power it claims its doing though mate

yeah they quote the max power of the sub(iirc not even RMS) and not the amp they have screwed into the box lol

They quote the peak power. Which depends on your alternator / power cap setup.

sorry mate but it doesn't mean that the peak power ratings tell you the maximum watts the sub can take in short burst not for continues length of time the true watt value you should follow is rms even though some cheap companies like to lie about that figure and very good companies that are known in the audio world under rate their products so it could be doing over the rated rms value that being said take for instance sundown audio 2500w amp can probs be doing more like 3krms

I know the difference between peak and rms mate.

Its a bargain for £20 mate.

My whole boot setup cost me £52 which includes pair of 6x9s. 2 x 12" subwoofers and the box with 4 channel amp. If needed i can set car alarms off with the amount of bass it produces. Im slowly starting to grow out of it though. You will probably soon :p

Also it weighs a lot. Think im going to go back to one sub at this rate :p

Peak power is the maximum power the sub will take before it goes bang.
usually it will only take this figure for 0.5 of a second and then number gets stamped on it.

Makes a 150w sub look awesome if you can slap 1200w on the box.

thats not always the case though mate a jbl gt5 is 275w rms and 1100w peak my friend was doing 1250wrms through each gt5 and they loved it lol

If you can't provide the amp with enough power then its not going to be as good an twin battery / power cap / high amp alternator set-up.

It's not hard to understand

the way you explained it was the peak will be different the peak is of the sub it wont go down or up

the rms will go up and down if its the amp your talking about as 12.7v will be reading lower then 14.4 you should be more clearer on explaining what you mean mate :)

your right it's not hard to understand so why don't you get it?

a power cap for a start will LOWER the output of the amp

a bigger alternator will help power a larger system but is far too slow to help with large changing loads

a twin battery might help as it will be able to minimise the volt drop but adds extra load to the system in general
