Suddenly more economical??

Noticed over the last two tanks I have been getting 30mpg whereas I usually see 26mpg.

My driving style has not changed and neither has my route.

The only thing I have done is change the OEM panel filter for an ITG one.

Has anyone else noticed the same? The car has just hit 6500 miles so maybe its starting to wear in and free up???

Have you reset your trip computer since filling up?

For example: Fill up, reset, drive it like its stolen, then dont reset and continue day to day driving: average 26mpg. Compared with Fill up, reset, day to day driving: average 30mpg.

See what i mean?

I reset everytime I fill up so the driving style as been the same. I have been trying to see what miles I could get out f a tank and 300 for £65 I thought was crap, happy with the 30mpg now!
