summer tyres

Well had the RS-R's on the front now for about a month and they are immense, also surprisingly good in the wet! There so good I've ordered 2 for the back as well, sharp find out how good an idea that was though ha ha, just hoping can get the heat into them!

might do that, bit concerned with the mrs driving on em though

Can't see it being an issue tbh, they still grip well from cold.

Only time I could see them not being great is cold winter months. But couldn't comment on that from experience tbh.

I'm looking at buying a pair of tyres this week, i've narrowed my choice down to:

PZero Nero
PS3
RSR

All are pretty much the same price fitted, what would you recommend for daily duty (approx 12k pa) with a few trackdays a year thrown in. I'm not sure if I would end up killing the road tyres on track/wear out the RSR on the road!! So looking for best value/performance. I am by no means an experienced track driver so reasoning for RSRs is for longevity on track rather than out and out performance!

In all honesty mate I've not driven on the others but I've got nothing but praise for the RSR'S! Got caught in that thunderstorm that washed out Leeds festival when driving up the M1, it was like a river but they didnt aqua plane at all, yes I dropped to like 40 but so did everyone else. I even overtook a very cautious Exige driver as well lol! I've probably done about 5k on the fronts and they've got loadsa tread left!

Dry grip on the roads will be better from the RSR but the other 2 will out perform them slightly in the wet. Like you say though on track the RSR should perform better and last longer too.

Winter months are approaching us though so depends how much you will use the car then too as I would prefer to be on normal road tyres than a semi slick during the colder months. If the car isn't used too much though then I doubt they will be much of a problem.

Out of Pzero vs PS3 though for me I would just Pzero every time. I saw 14k out of a set of fronts and the rears were still like new. They got a proper hammering on the road too.
