sump plug leaking help!!

i serviced my car yesturday and where i replaced the sump plug something is not right as it is very slowly leaking oil?

is there a way i can seal it with auto gasket? ruber washer? shat load of ptfe tape ?

help pls guys

Did you put a new copper washer on it?

aaaah that would be whats missing. would halfrauds sell that ?

Well the RenaultSport clios have a copper washer, they compress to cause a seal, but they are one use, so guessing the other clios are the same.

i did do the ultimate fcuk up of dropping the plug in the oil so its prob sitting in the bucket atm.
i will go and hunt a new one down.

They dont have collapsable washers, they use a rubber type with a copper surround.

ye its a big essential, do not just keep tightening the nut, because the nuts harder than the sump and itll go horribly wrong!!

always replace the washer
