sump plug removal tool

do i need a special tool to remove the sump plug from a 182 clio?

if i do, where do they come from?

so its just a square shape then?

i can make one easy enough if it is :)

and yeah chris, it is... we always change at the same time, you should know that! ;)

  FOR SALE!!!
if i remeber right it was a 10mm and got my for free from halfunds as they let me walk out the door with it lol

What ever you do dont go to halfrauds as they gave me 3 differnt sorts of sump plug tools an they even had to refer to a guide book thing an none of them fitted properly or did the job.
I got mine from auto factors near me. also try places that supply draper tools as draper do a key that only cost me £3

3/8" is slightly too big Fubar, shame they didn't do that actually would of saved a lot of hassle.

100% 8mm Square as Billy says

Let me know if its any good Dan, I tried to do an oil change on mine and I couldn't get the sump plug out for the life of me, had to take it to a garage in the end. I was using a homemade allen key time one though. The oil filter on the 1.2 16v is an arse to get to, not sure where it is on the 182 though.

trust me... its a piece of piss on the 1.2 compared to the 2.0l lump lol

i didnt order that in the end... most places want £5-10 delivery! i'll either try halfords or make one :)

I can imagine, the oil filter is behind the engine and at the bottom, you have to take the wheel off on mine.
I guess thats how these places make their money! Try halfords, if your really stuck my bro's got a tool account with snap on and draper, gets quite good discounts.
I just took mine round to GTmotors (by the tip) gave them my oil and filter and some cash for their tea fund! They are good in there did my cam belt and water pump.
