i appreciate its down to the skill of the painter, but general rule how good are renault yellows for matching or will i end up chasing yellow all over the car and end up with a full respray rather than the 1/4 panel i want done?

sorry but i have to disagree in some ways, its not that bad a colour to match but just because its a solid colour doesnt mean you can paint edge to edge, blending is still required depending on how close to the next pannel you have to colour up. the sunflower ones did have some issues when water based paints were in the early stages due to colour pigments that wouldnt melt in right but most paint manufactures now have a solid waterbased systems so you should be ok, there will no doubt be shades to choose from but if you take it to a good bodyshop then i cant see you having any issues, just be sure that they paint your car base and laquer (as it is from factory) as if they were to do it solid colour the pigment would be different and would also show it up badly under street lights. hope this has helped
