Sunstrips

I want to fit a sunstrip to my windscreen but i can see problems ahead

Has anyone fitted a sunstrip and has got the automatic wipers.

Have you had any probs wiv the sensor on windscreen coz i think if you cover the sensor it will set the wipers off all the time?

agreed, tacky crap! Please dont get one chris! Whenever i see clios with huge RENAULT CLIO 16v SPORT or something over the front screen i cringe.

You can remove that sensor easily enough. Mine doesnt work anyway so ill be taking mine back at the weekend

get a tinted strip on the inside

they look really good with window tints

i like sunstrips on some cars ! not the tacky huge letter stuff... depends on the type of look you are going for imo !

maybe if your making a full on touring car rep than yes, but they dont look cool and they dont offer anything. I used to like them when i was an avid max power reader but now i think all you need to do to car externally is get a nice set of wheels.

I know what tom means, that graduated tint, my dads M3 has it, but all the windows are tinted so it fits in . Getting a pimp dark black tint is not advised either!!

Not a fan of sunstrips myself, but a firms logo can look OK on the right car but it is very rare!

If a sunstrip is done right, its ok.. its the MOTORSPORT ones and other massive lettered ones which look crap.

I had mine custom made, 5" deep so its not crazy, with my domain name in the middle with medium writing in a nice digitaly font - I and lots of other people think it looks cool without going too over the top.

Ive got a Plain black one, black window tints (its the gangsta inside me!!!) and a fully colour coded black car

i wouldnt get a sunstrip mate, id just get some writing or a companies name across the top of the window. i had the Renault Sports Club banner across my screen and it looked good. but sunstrips are a definate no no
